How do I use it on iPhone Duo?
Open the phone partway and stand it on your nightstand, like a small laptop. The upright half shows the place and the time; the half lying flat holds the place's sounds.
What does folding do?
The hinge is the window. Fold it down and the place grows quieter and more muffled, as if you were closing a window, and the picture hazes over. Each place gives it its own meaning: at the campfire, folding lets the fire burn down to embers.
How do I fall asleep with it?
Close the phone. The sound fades out gently over about thirty seconds and the screen dims to a quiet clock.
I don't have an iPhone Duo.
Ajar works on any iPhone with iOS 27 or later. Without a hinge, a slider under the sounds opens and closes the window.
How do I get more places?
Rainy Square and Campfire come free. Every other place is a one-time purchase, and Every place unlocks all of them, including places we add later. You can visit a place before buying it: you'll hear it through the glass.
My purchases are missing.
Open the place list (tap the place's name), scroll to About and tap Restore purchases. Purchases belong to the Apple Account that made them. If Family Sharing is on, places your family bought appear too.
Can I change how the controls look?
Yes. In the place list, Controls offers columns of light, a console, quiet rows, and a click wheel in four finishes. The wheel's click sound can be switched off there too.
